Meet the Teen CEO from Kochi

It’s rare to find a 16-year-old CEO from Kochi who has already built robots, AI tools, and a fast-growing startup. But that’s exactly who Rahul John Ajju is.

Founder of AIRealM Technologies, Rahul began learning AI at just six years old, and by 16, he had already developed his first robot, Mi-Bot. Today, with over 10 AI tools created on a single machine, his startup is redefining what young entrepreneurs can achieve.

The Story Behind Me-Bot

Q: How did you come up with Me-Bot?
Rahul: “I had international sessions booked, but I couldn’t stay up all night. I needed sleep before school. So, I built Mi-Bot — a robot that cloned my voice, taught like me, and even moved its hands. Students could ask questions, learn concepts, and have fun. It was my way of making sure doubts were always answered.”

Facing Doubts as a Teen CEO

Q: Do people take you seriously at just 16?
Rahul: “Honestly, not always. Many times people think, ‘He’s just a kid.’ But in investor-style sessions, once we start talking about execution, data, and revenue, the perspective changes.

I once pitched at a Shark Tank-style program by Hedge. Thankfully, they didn’t focus on my age, they focused on my solutions. I know I don’t have decades of experience — that’s where my father guides me. He doesn’t say ‘Do this.’ Instead, he shares from experience: ‘Rahul, here’s what might happen if you do this.’ That’s priceless.”

Views on Education

Q: What’s your take on the Indian education system?
Rahul: “Textbooks are outdated. We’re still studying IPC when the law has already shifted to BNS. Schools should let kids explore, do skits, create.

In my classes, I keep things gamified. Students don’t even realize they’re learning until later. That’s when learning becomes powerful.”

Comparing AI Giants

Q: If you had to compare Gemini, ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity — how would you?
Rahul:

  • ChatGPT: “Like the guy who knows everything, but isn’t the best at everything. Decent at images, voice, video — overall balanced.”
  • Gemini: “Great at video, can even control devices, but unresponsive at times. Super powerful, but inconsistent.”
  • Claude: “Best at writing. Most of my scripts are written with Claude.”
  • Perplexity: “Like Google on steroids. It searches everything and pulls from multiple sources.”

“Honestly, I mix them all. Claude for writing, Gemini for video, ChatGPT for balance, and Perplexity for search. AI is a toolkit — not one-size-fits-all.”

Revenue, Team, and Growth

Q: How much do you make annually?
Rahul: “We’re at about 15 lakhs a year right now. Still early, but growing fast.”

Q: What do you look for while hiring editors?
