Tell us about yourself?

I am based from Gujarat, India. A very homely yet peaceful person. Looking forward for challenging task and so came the concept of RUDHA.

Basically an engineer and a director of Software company I always had a creative instinct, so launched RUDHA with an aim to provide hand crafted products to my audience.

What lessons has being an entrepreneur taught you?

If you are an entrepreneur, one thing i learned is everything you need to do is by yourself only… Unless you don’t know yourself you can’t expect anyone to do it for you the way you want it.

Learning is always on curve and the joy of fulfilling that first order even for a small amount is tremendous.

If you could go back in time to when you first started your business, what piece of advice would you give yourself?

Keep doing no matter how bad you feel. Don’t quit. Wait is always a by product. Never get dishearten

A lot of entrepreneurs find it difficult to balance their work and personal lives. How have you found that?

Absolutely correct. There is never a perfect balance formula. It is always situation based and priority based.

What is the inspiration behind your business?

Apart from your brilliant mind each one has some inclination towards doing something different, which over a period of time goes away because of studies, job and family responsibilities.

May be I always wanted to be an artist but because I was good at studies I pursued something different, so that hidden quest of being an artist came out with RUDHA.

What do you think is your magic sauce? What sets you apart from the competitors?

I always have a feel of getting it done and putting things in action. With RUDHA I have done exactly the same thing I visualize my products and put it in action.

Usability, Aesthetic and Material is what matters and set RUDHA apart.How have you found sales so far?

Do you have any lessons you could pass on to other founders in the same market as you just starting out?

RUDHA has just born and I am new in this field but eCommerce is not new to me. All type of marketing is necessary for any business.

What is the biggest challenge you have faced so far in your business, and how did you overcome it?

For any business marketing is key, I am learning and need help for same. There are many tools available but still an expert’s help is always good to have.

What do you consider are the main strengths of operating your business in India and the specific state you are in over other states in India?

Operating Business locally is good as you know the place well and build a confidence in dealing with customers. Also word of mouth marketing becomes easy as you know the place.

But we are not restricted just locally we want Pan India and than world wide customer base.

What (if any) are some weaknesses of operating your business within India and your state?

India being a developing country, at times it becomes difficult to handle with your vendor as they are not operating systematically. Information gathering is still a pain many things are not organized.

If you could operate your business in another state in India rather than the State you are in, which state would it be and why?

Mumbai specifically, as that is the second place that i know personally well. Also Mumbai has diverse population. Both supplier and consumer are in abundance.

India has an incredibly diverse population. How has the affected your consumer base and business?

Not such, in fact it is very helpful as you get so much to learn from each consumer. Feedback that you get for your business is genuine and overwhelming at times.

Infrastructure is really important to businesses. How have you seen India’s infrastructure improve recently? Do you see new opportunities opening up?

India is growing and digitally scaling fast. With venture marketing, social media, AI and eCommerce startups like us are getting ample opportunities.
